SELF PAYMENT REMINDER
All self-payments for the fourth quarter are due no later than 4:30 P.M. on September 30th, 2024.
For more information as to both the how and when of self-payments, please reference the “Self-Payment” section of the Plan’s SPD. (Don’t have one? No problem. A copy of one resides within the left-hand column on the Health and Benefit Funds website landing page.)
SEVEN WEEKS HAVE LAPSED
Since the Fund went live with Empower. Yet, 680 individuals have yet to secure their Empower account through the act of their registration. This figure is slightly less terrible than last month, but terrible, nevertheless.
So, to you, the stalwart 680 – Wake up! We’re Local 697 and anything less than 100% registration is less than satisfactory! If you don’t know what to do or how to accomplish this, you need to:
➢ Call the Fund Office at 219-940-6181, and we will tell you. Or,
➢ Come into the Fund Office and we will show you. Or,
➢ Come early to this month’s membership meeting, and we will walk you through the process in two minutes. Or,
➢ Check out any one of the communications issued from this office and/or Empower on this exact matter and follow those instructions.
ATTENTION APPRENTICES
Too many of you still need to get it in gear and complete your ERTS registration. If you don’t know what that is or how to do it, swing by the Fund Office and we’ll walk you through it.
